Sponsor a child, home, whole home sponsorship (Foundation for Young Orphans is not a “child sponsorship” organization). We look to individuals, groups and institutions to help fund the cost of raising the children.

What is child Sponsorship?

Child sponsorship is a way of raising long term support for children whilst providing a rich and rewarding experience to donors. Child sponsorship establishes a relationship between a donor and a single child in a way that personalizes the challenges of community development while allowing donors to see how their money is making a difference to the life of an individual child, family and their community. Sponsorship helps provide necessities such as access to education, health care, immunization and clean water.

What happens when you sponsor a child? 

When you sponsor a child, you agree to make a regular contribution each month, which is fully tax deductible. You'll receive a photograph and details about your sponsored child. You'll also receive a yearly update to let you know how your child is progressing. Sponsorship can also be the start of a really special relationship between you and your sponsored child. You can write to your child and if they don't understand English, a foundation for young orphans' staff member will translate your letter into their language. This staff member will also translate the letters your sponsored child sends you into English, so you can read them. You'll also receive regular FYO' publications that highlight our work. How to sponsor

US $200 per month will provide food, clothes, bedding, schooling and medical care for one child.

You can choose to give a general gift to Foundation for Young Orphans, as there are a variety of areas that also need support. Donations can be one time or monthly. Please learn more about our programs and see how best you can help.

Mail the check payable to Foundation for Young Orphans. See address below. Please include a short message with your first check saying that you want to sponsor a child or make a donation. We will send you a set of pre-addressed envelopes if you ask for them.
