Foundation for Young Orphans is known as a helping, action-oriented organization. However, in order to continuously improve our work for our clients, namely the children, it is an essential task for the FYO to reflect and investigate upon our own work. Being there where help is needed.
That's how we are known. What is less known is the side of the organization that deals with investigating the influence of the children's rights, thus evaluating the impact of the various programs of FYO.
Foundation for Young Orphans has become aware of the strategic importance of research and is now clearly emphasizing their efforts towards research activities. Research should enhance the ways of showing, giving proof and developing the successful work of Foundation for Young Orphans by comparing and researching the model. It is supposed to help to improve working methods and planning cycles, to evaluate the impact of FYO in general, and to bring innovation to the organization by addressing child rights and gender issues. Building research co-operations, networking with researchers and practitioners, collecting and sharing information and knowledge will lead to a vivid "culture of research" within Foundation for Young Orphans. The generated knowledge and shared experience fuel the organizational learning cycle and hence support the organization in its endeavor to succeed as a learning organization.
