Asiimwe's vision to see the lives of abandoned and orphaned children transformed into lives full of love and possibility. This is the fuel that ignites the heart of Foundation for Young Orphans. Asiimwe has spent most of his life working with children in varied settings.
Asiimwe founded Foundation for Young Orphans in 2003. As a christian, Asiimwe also choose to respond to the Holy Bible positively where it emphasises to take care of the orphans and the widows. “James 1:27” it says that Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
Recognized in his church as a Cell member, Asiimwe's heart to mobilize others to get involved and make a difference in the world around them is evident in his words and actions. With a God-given gift to embrace people from other cultures, Asiimwe has ventured different parts of the country to assess the need and form a plan of action that FYO is pursuing vigorously and excitedly. Dedicating his life to see that children have every chance to become what they were created to be brings a reward that cannot be measured.
Foundation for Young Orphans is continually growing throughout the world reaching out to as many corners as possible.
