Frequently Asked Question

May I send my child gifts?

The child sponsorship office accepts special gifts for individual children in cases where children live with their extended families or with either of their biological parent.

However in cases where several children with different background live under the same roof (for example an FYO home) special gifts for individual children may create distinctions and alienate other children who don't have sponsors.

In such cases we suggest:

(a) sending school supplies which can be used by many of the FYO supported children;

(b) sending a modest gift such as a T-shirt or

(c) sending a financial gift for general use to benefit all the FYO supported children.

Contact the Child Sponsorship Office to discuss how to send special gifts.
