Board Members

Christian A.W Asiimwe - Founder /President 

As Chief Executive Officer of FYO, Mr. Asiimwe Christian directs all of the association's operations and implements its policies, in consultation with the Board of Trustees. He has general supervision over the property and affairs of FYO as well as over its officers, appointing agents or employees in addition to those appointed by the Board of Trustees. Mr. Asiimwe provides leadership and managerial supervision in areas including, but not limited to organizational strategy, board development, program and project development, fundraising, management operations, research and leadership forums.

Asiimwe is a successful network administrator whose past board level experience with technology company has given him an approach to serving the poor and the orphan by using his knowledge of innovative web technology in a unique way. Asiimwe's vision to see the lives of abandoned and orphaned children transformed into lives full of love and possibility. This is the fuel that ignites the heart of Foundation for young orphans. Asiimwe has spent most of his life working with children in varied settings. Recognized in his church as a youth leader, Asiimwe's heart to mobilize others to get involved and make a difference in the world around them is evident in his words and actions. With a God-given gift to embrace people from other cultures, Asiimwe has ventured different parts of the country to assess the need and form a plan of action that FYO is pursuing vigorously and excitedly. Dedicating his life to see that children have every chance to become that they were created to be brings a reward that cannot be measured.

Cissy Kirambaire - Vice President

Mrs. Cissy Kirambaire oversees FYO's financial, MIS, and human resource operations. In addition, she works closely with the executive director on organizational strategy, management operations, and program and project development.

Prior to joining FYO, Mrs. Cissy Kirambaire worked at Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and Strengthening the Competitiveness Of Private Enterprise (SCOPE) as a monitoring and evaluation Analyst. Mrs. Kirambaire joins Foundation for Young Orphans board bringing with her invaluable business insights and a depth of wisdom that is inspired from the heart of God.

She has a natural ability to bring laser-sharp details to life and empower those around her. With a Masters Degree in Development Economics and marketing, Mrs. Kirambaire's passion is to use her gifts and talents to help others further their visions and see the Kingdom of God glorified. Cissy has a heart for missions and looks forward to future opportunities to serve the Lord around the world.

Ruth Mugisa - Program Coordinator

Ms. Ruth is responsible for all facets of participant training, counseling, workforce development and job placement services, as well as program and staff development, overseeing a staff of more than nine. In addition, she directs the planning and implementation of FYO's Responsible Fatherhood Program and several other major initiatives.

She has served in children's ministry for nearly 7 years.  Ruth is an accomplished writer and speaks at Local Children's conferences.  Foundation for Young Orphans is honored to have her as part of the board and recognizes the wisdom and creativity that she inspires. Reaching the hearts of children is her passion and she has learned to demonstrate it in many ways. She also encourages others to use their gifts to help change the lives of children. 

Ms. Ruth has broad experience in vocational  training, parole, labor relations, welfare reform  and  non-profit  management. She has been a guest lecturer at some seminars.

Dr. Ing Ana Milosevic - Chief Grants Officer 

Ms. Milosevic is responsible for creation and development of Grants. She coordinates and manages the overall planning and direction of FYO's operations at International level, creates a shared vision among the staff of FYO's program aims and their role in achieving these. In addition she explores plans for program expansison and develops the potential for further programs funding, develops FYO capacity in relation to the local context, and develops concept notes/project proposals for identified donors.

Ms. Milosevic is an experienced lecturer and worked as a Junior Ministerial Counselor for Human Rights and Equal Opportunities. She attended numerous International conferences and seminars held by Harvard Business School where she obtained degree with High Honours.

She has worked as an expert in the areas of South-East Europe (Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary) and East Africa, on projects of Socio-Economic Sustainable Development (CARDS, PHARE,INTERREG runed by European Commission), Preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS through prevention-related programs - targeting women and youth, Supporting awareness raising about child protection and Gender Based Violence, Strengthened rule of law and protection of vulnerable groups, Agriculture and Quality Improvements, Immigration and People to People Actions.
