The Foundation for Young Orphans Projects offer assistance to Orphans and Vulnerable Children. Since Foundation for Young Orphans started, most of the work has been to advocate for Children's rights, support, educate and keep in touch with Families taking care of orphans to ensure home based care for example by conducting workshops, seminars, and holding sessions for stake holders. Foundation for Young Orphans assists orphans and vulnerable who have never been in school to be enrolled and school dropouts to acquire / obtain vocational skills including tailoring, bricklaying, amongst others. We also offer advice, mediation, advocacy, networking issues concerning orphans, vulnerable children and youth.

We assist communities in forming local mutual support groups and creating income generating activities. We also participate actively in the fight against AIDS through a wide range of programs. Disease-free Water/Sanitation/hygiene In Africa , 80% of the children do not have access to clean water. In many areas, women and children must walk for hours to find water. At the same time, animals are drinking and urinating in it! Animal carcasses often lie rotting at the edge of the water.

FYO is looking for Partners to support water sanitation projects and to help in building more community schools in villages where women and children do not have easy access to clean water and where children die because of contaminated water. Hygiene Clinics Programs to promote hygiene are supported to safe guard children's welfare. Other areas of emphasis include providing for material, emotional and spiritual needs of orphans and vulnerable children including career and moral guidance, primary health care and medical welfare.
